Emergency Top Operation

In case of a fault in the automatic system,
the top can be closed manually.

For saftey, engage the parking brake, lower
the windows, and remove the ignition key.

To move the top manually, you'll first have to
de-pressurize the hydraulic system. Use the
Allen wrench provided for this purpose to turn
the pressure release screw fully
counterclockwise.

The auxillary frame must now be unlocked
manually. Two Bowden cables are concealed
beneath the side panels for this purpose.

Close the trunklid and tilt it completely up
toward the rear of the car.

Lift the hat shelf while carefully raising the top
out of the trunk.

Do not let the top and hatshelf touch. When
the top is almost in position, hold it with one
hand against the C-pillar while carefully
inserting the locking lugs into their recesses.

Remove the cover in the top lining, and turn
the locking mechanism clockwise with the
Allen wrench until the top locks into position.

The locking mechanism is then reengaged.

Close the trunk lid. Note that the trunklid
can not be locked, and is therefore not
weatherproof. Also, the rear side windows
can not be raised.
